Teaching obedience

by jennifer 24. November 2015 23:54

A few years back, when Aryan was 6 years old, his teacher complained to me that, on that day he was so talkative in the class.

It was surprising for me because normally he is well behaved.

We came home, had dinner and started the home work.

I started the conversation - "Aryan, what happened in class today?"

He said, "We studied something new. In one class the teacher was asking questions and at that time my friend asked me a question. I answered him but the teacher told me that I should stop talking."

In an exasperated voice he said, "Amma I was JUST helping him!".

Here is the chance I thought, to explain to him about the importance of obedience.

I said, "Aryan, I think the teacher was right in saying that. Imagine if you were a teacher. You have 20 students in your class. You are teaching, expecting that the children will listen. Then there is this one boy who talks when you are explaining something. What would YOU do?"

He looked at my eyes, thought for a while  and replied with a naughty smile, "Ciao, Collega (Hello Partner)!" and ran away!

With all my efforts gone in vain, I chased him around, secretly admiring his creativity, with a smile!

2012 - Anniversary thoughts 1

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

 8 Love never fails.

I Corinthians 13:4-8

I replaced love with 'Rajesh' and it meant much more!

My husband is a synonym of love!

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Husband!

by Jennifer 23. September 2009 23:54

Today was the first birthday Rajesh celebrated with my son Aryan being aware of what a "Birthday" is! Aryan wouldn't allow me to sing "Happy Birthday to Rajesh", it had to be "Happy Birthday to Aryan!!!"

It is a great feeling to celebrate the birthday of the person who means the world to you! Just cant be described in words!

A person so loving, caring, full of empathy, just and all the positive superlative words that you can think of!

I am so proud of him and love him more every passing day! I am very lucky that I am in his life!

Whatever I am today is totally because of him!

I thank God for such a wonderful person who adds meaning to so many lives including mine!
